We have in our posession information on three Gaisford family lines.  We are trying to make as much of this information as we can available through this web site.  So far we have not been able to find a connection between these three lines.

George Matthew Gaisford

1830 - Trowbridge, Wiltshire County, England

The eighth child born to Jacob Gaisford and Jemima Hooper on April 18, 1830 in Trowbridge, England.  He married Eliza Watkins (Nov. 11, 1830 - St. Briavels, Gloucester, England) on Feb. 12, 1853.  George and Eliza left England in 1857 and migrated to the United States arriving in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1861.  We have limited information on George's father Jacob Gaisford whose records are in the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Trowbridge, England.  Because we have more information on George Matthew, we have placed this line in his name.

William Gaisford

1739 - Poulshot, Wiltshire County, England

William Gaisford's family migrated to the United States in about 1847.  We are still collecting information to be posted here on this line.

John Gaisford

1726 - Warminster, Wiltshire County, England

John's son was John Collier Gaisford (1753) whose son is Benjamin (1794) who son is Hugh Walter Lush Gaisford (1825) whose son is Hugh John Gaisford (1851) who migrated to Cheyenne, Wyoming. We are still collecting information to be posted here on this line.
